2001 (also known by some as The Chronic 2001 or The Chronic II) is legendary American producer and rapper Dr. Dre's 2nd studio album; released by Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records on 16th November, 1999, as a follow up to The Chronic, his debut album. It was mostly produced by Dr. Dre and Mel-Man, with some contributions from Lord Finesse. It hosts a multitude of rappers, with the most frequent contributions from Hittman, Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Xzibit and Eminem.
